Lara Mühlenweg is a Director of Photography based in Los Angeles, California. She does however often spend time in her hometown, Hamburg, Germany. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts with a degree in Film and Television Production.

She has a passion for helping tell stories that reach vast corners of the earth, about every person. Narratives involving the environment, the LGBTQIA community, and stories centered around women are of special interest. She loves working with whatever is available, and finding creative solutions to even the biggest of problems. She loves collaborating with directors on short films, features, music videos and documentaries. She hopes to soon be traveling far and wide, to capture every detail the world has to offer.

While Lara works as a director of photography; she is also available as a camera operator, and first assistant camera on set.
